Welcome Good Times Sportfishing!
Fishing Reports 2010
8/10/2010
We fished in the bay in & around the 110 fow mark, most
of fish were browns on stinger spoons. However, Saturday morning
our first fish was a 19 lb Salmon which also came on a glow
stinger. Brown trout fishing has gotten a little harder, but
now with some Salmon coming in, we hope they will take up
the slack. If you need an up to the minute fishing report
call us @ 607-768-9121, we will be on the water almost every
day until the middle of September. We do have 4 open days
& 9 afternoon trips available. Now that the Salmon are
coming in these last few days will go fast, call soon and
make one your trip of a lifetime. Our # is 607-768-9121.

It's been windy first blowing hard from the West, now from
the East. The East wind will bring the salmon back in that
are now a couple weeks late. However the Brown Trout fishing
on Lake Ontario has been on fire with very big fish, many
going 10 to 14 lbs. Many of the trips, we are coming back
with our limit. Stringer spoons such as Black Widow, Glo Ghost
& alewife. Early in July we had some Salmon, those trips
our Big Weenie flies produced nicely. Our best combo is a
chartreuse echip with the Butter Face fly. We have some great
Salmon dates available near the end of August, plus a few
days left in early September, these are prime time dates!
Make one of them yours by calling now 607-768-9121.

7/5/2010
Fishing is great now with Salmon coming in off 9 mile. Some
of these are 30 plus pounds. Steelhead fishing is on fire
also, some reaching 12 lbs. We had 5 of them last week and
the smallest being 9 lbs. July is going to be the month for
deep water fishing that will be hot! Our best setup has been
chartreuse flasher with Big Weenie Butter Face fly. This has
taken our biggest Salmon and 3 11 lb plus steelies. If you
want great fishing, NOW is the time to call 607-768-9121 and
make a life time memory. We also have a few dates open in
August & September. Make that call now!

This past weekend is the one you always hear about "
you should have been here last week". The fish were on
the bite big time. We had big numbers in the box & everyone
went home with a lot filets. We fished from Southwick Beach
to the can off Stoney Creek in 50 to 75 fow. Stinger spoons,
hammer, die hard & confusion. When you found 55 degrees
it was loaded with fish. Our biggest fish weighted in at 13
lbs. This year is one of the best years for fishing I've seen
& I believe we're going to see a lot of Salmon in July
even better than last year which was very good year. If you
want to be part of a MEMORY of a life time give us a call,
we still have some good July dates available.
CALL NOW 607-768-9121.

The fishing has been good for Brown Trout the last couple
weeks. The wind has been a big factor when the East wind blows
our water temperature changes & the fishing gets tough
which means we must work harder. However, we've had some big
catches. Our fish keep coming on stinger spoons, die hard
being the best. Stickbaits do nothing for us, so our program
is strait spoons every day.
We have some great days available in June & July. Call
now or email for your date today.
The fishing is good don't miss out. Call 607-768-9121 today

We competed in Jon's Little Salmon Brown Trout Derby. I'm
pleased to announce we finished in 4th place. Thanks to my
crew, Nick Lee, Mike Weaver & Chris Swamp. We fished North
of Sandy Pond with only spoons & again the stinger die
hard took the most fish.
5/2/10
We started our Brown Trout season & the fishing has been
good! We've had nice catches of good sized Brown's. It's been
a different year, we are catching our fish on spoons &
not stick baits. For us the fish do not want the usual stick
baits. We're fishing near the north dune in 8 to 15 fow. Saturday
& Sunday this week was a blow off, very high winds.
Capt Ron Jacoby of Beginners Luck Sportfishing went out deeper
off Nine Mile on Friday 5/7 to find Salmon. Capt Ron &
I do a lot of work together. His goal was to try our new Big
Weenie Flies. In 130 fow he did just that, he hooked 4 &
landed 2. The first 1 was a nice 20+ lber & the second
a teenager.
All in all we've had a good start to the season.

4/20/10
We're excited to continue our work with our friends at Torpedo
Divers, Chamberlain Release & the newest member of our
family Big Weenie Brands makers of great trolling flies. WOW
it's time to go fishing! The Good Times III goes in the water
this weekend to start our 2010 season. Up until last week
the fishing was slow, but after a good west wind to warm the
water, the fish started to turn on from our river north to
Sandy Pond. The pictures I've seen are of big Brown's &
reports of Atlantic Salmon being caught. Just remember Atlantic
Salmon must be 25 inches to keep. We have a few good dates
left in May & a few more in June & July. Call NOW
to book your trip of a life time-(607) 768-9121.
The first trip of 2010 was sat 3/20 with my mate Nick on
his boat and his friend Chris. Those of you who fished with
us last year will be excited to know Nick passed his tests
to become a captain and is now a fully licensed captain. Congratulation!
We launched out of Mexico and went toward Catfish Creek about
7 am. We trolled in that area until 11 am when we pulled to
head in for lunch. The snow is gone and with very little rain
the water was very clear making the hopes for a big catch
of shore Browns seem impossible. We went 2 for 3 in that 4
hr period. We fished 8 to 12 fow and bottom was easily seen
the whole time.
We used planer boards and lines back 125 ft. All 3 hits came
on a smithwick style stick bait black/silver. Water temp was
38 to 42 degrees.
